Internships at BatchMates

Build With Us. Learn By Doing.

BatchMates is an early-stage startup building a connected ecosystem for university life—bringing students, alumni, mentors, recruiters, communities, opportunities, and campus experiences together on one platform.

We believe the best learning happens when you work on real problems with real responsibility.

At BatchMates, you won't join just to observe from the sidelines or complete meaningless tasks for the sake of an internship certificate. You'll contribute to a real, evolving startup and gain firsthand exposure to how ideas are researched, products are shaped, brands are built, users are acquired, partnerships are developed, and an early-stage company grows.

What you'll experience

Real work. Real learning. Real startup exposure.

  • Work on real projects with meaningful ownership.
  • Contribute to a live and evolving startup.
  • Understand how an early-stage company operates.
  • Turn ideas and research into real execution.

We're building a healthy, collaborative, and learning-focused environment where people can ask questions, share ideas, experiment, make mistakes, learn, and improve.

At the same time, we value ownership, accountability, curiosity, initiative, and honest communication.

Come to learn. Stay curious. Take ownership. Build something real.

You take responsibility for your work.

Initiative

You don't always wait to be told what to do.

Reliability

If you commit to something, you take it seriously.

You question assumptions and think beyond the obvious.

Collaboration

You can work respectfully with people from different functions.

You're comfortable learning and adjusting as things evolve.

Early-stage reality

A Note About Working at an Early-Stage Startup

BatchMates is an early-stage startup, and startup priorities naturally evolve as we learn from users, technology, the market, and real-world execution.

The responsibilities listed for each internship represent your primary area of ownership, but they are not an exhaustive list of every task you may work on.

You may occasionally contribute to other projects, experiments, or responsibilities that are reasonably aligned with your skills, interests, and the evolving needs of the startup.

This does not mean being randomly assigned unrelated work. It means having clear ownership while remaining flexible enough to learn, collaborate, and contribute where your skills can create meaningful value.

Your role defines your primary ownership—not the absolute boundary of your contribution.

AI & emerging tech

Working With AI & Emerging Technology

AI is changing how modern teams research, create, design, analyse, and solve problems. At BatchMates, you'll be encouraged to explore and responsibly use AI tools, automation platforms, and emerging technologies relevant to your work.

  • Research and analysis
  • Product thinking
  • Content creation
  • Design exploration
  • Automation
  • Data interpretation
  • Documentation
  • Brainstorming and experimentation

AI should improve your thinking and productivity—not replace your thinking. You are responsible for checking the accuracy, relevance, originality, and quality of the work you produce.

What you'll take away

More than a certificate.

This is not designed to be a passive internship. You are joining as an intern, but you are expected to take ownership of your work like a professional.

  • How an early-stage startup is built.
  • How real-world problems are identified and solved.
  • How ideas move from research to execution.
  • How products are shaped around users.
  • How brands and communities are built.
  • How startup teams collaborate across different functions.
  • How AI and modern technology are used in real workflows.
  • How decisions are made when resources are limited.
  • How experiments, failures, feedback, and iteration drive progress.

Real responsibility. Real learning. Real exposure. Real-world startup experience.
